CALL FOR ARTISTS
West Side
Here, Now, & another 250 years later
West Springfield, MA is excited to celebrate their 250th Anniversary in 2024. The Red Thread Network will be sponsoring a mural in the Mayor’s office in the town hall to showcase the town’s progress and achievements. There are already several murals in the town hall referencing the history of the town. The theme for this painting will be West Side Here and Now, contemporary places and events familiar to residents and visitors from the artist’s point of view. It should tell a story by referencing things that have changed and withstood the test of time. We invite artists from the region to submit their designs.
The size of the mural is 15 (fifteen) feet wide by 7 (seven) feet 6 (six) inches tall.
It will have a wood frame similar to the other wood work in the room, applied after the painting is finished. Red Thread Network will fund this.
